Otorhinolaringology

A children's otorhinolaryngologist (ORL) is a specialist who deals with ear, throat and nose diseases in children. Problems with these organs are common, but their early discovery reduces long-term consequences.

The ORL specialist usually deals ear infections, nose and sinuses problems, inflammation of tonsils and hearing loss.

What do we provide?

In addition to a basic ORL examination that confirms or excludes the diagnosis of upper respiratory tract diseases, the OLR specialist also conducts treatment of not so rare middle ear infections in children and suggests tonsils surgery. In our clinic we also successfully solve the problem of the short uvula, and perform frenulum surgery at the earliest age, or later in order to solve the inability to properly pronounce certain voices.

When to see an otorhinolaryngologist?

Ear infection symptoms include hearing loss, fever, nausea, dizziness. The tonsils are removed on evaluation of the ORL specialist if the child has problems swallowing, breathing, sleeping or has frequent recurrent infections.

In early childhood it is not uncommon for a simple cold to get complicated by the inflammation of the ear and tonsils. If you notice that your child has problems with the ear, throat or nose, contact an ORL specialist.
